Similar to Ari Kondattam is my Rice Pappad (Ari Vattal) with a little change in shape & flavors.
Cook 2 cups rice with 5 cups water. Grind the cooked rice to make a thick dosa-like batter. Meanwhile mince together 1 small red onion with 2-3 green chillies in a chopper/food processor. Add this to the the rice batter. Add salt to taste & mix well.
Pour 1 spoonful of the batter on a greased sheet of aluminium foil or cloth. Spread a little with the back of the spoon. Repeat this this with the rest of the batter.
Sun dry these for 5-7 days till completely dry & crisp.
Store the dried pappads in an airtight & deep fry when required.
Enjoy with pulao or curd (yoghurt) rice.
