Ingredients
1 cup green peas
1 cup button mushrooms (chopped)
2 red onions (finely chopped)
1 tsp whole garam masala
2 tsp ginger-garlic paste
1/2 cup tomato puree
1 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp garam masala powder
1/4 cup cashew paste(Soak a handful of cashews in warm water for an hr & grind to a fine paste)
1/4 cup fresh cream
a handful of chopped coriander leaves(cilantro)
salt to taste
2 tsp oil
Method
Heat oil in a kadai. Add the whole garam masala & chopped onions & fry till light golden.
Add the ginger-garlic paste & cook for 2-3 mins. Add the tomato puree, salt & masala powders. Cook till the oil separates from the masala.
Add the cashew paste dissolved in 1/2 cup of water & stir well.
Add the mushrooms & green peas. Cover & cook on simmer till the veggies are tender.
Turn off the heat & add fresh cream.
Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
Serve hot with chappathi/paratha
