

1 medium sized Bottle gourd
1 big onion finely chopped
2-3 pods of garlic
1 tomato(chopped)
1 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp garam masala powder
3-4 tablespoons of Besan (Gram flour)
2 tsp fresh cream

a bunch of cilantro
salt to taste
oil for deep frying
Method
For Koftas
Peel & Grate the bottle gourd. Add 3-4 tbsp of Besan, 1 tsp red chilli powder & salt & mix well.
Scoop 1 tbsp at a time & drop into hot oil & deep fry & set aside.
For gravy
In a pan, saute chopped garlic & onions. Add 1 tsp red chilli powder & garam masala powder. Saute for a few mins & add chopped tomatoes. Simmer & cook for a few mins & turn off heat.
When this mixture cools down, grind this to a fine paste.
Pour the paste into the pan & add some water. Bring to a boil & add salt to taste.
Then add the koftas & mix well. Turn off heat & garnish with fresh cream & cilantro.
Serve hot with roti/paratha.
