Coconut Chutney III


1 cup grated coconut
1" piece ginger
3-4 green chillies
4-5 curry leaves
a small ball of tamarind

For seasoning
1 tsp oil
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
2-3 dry red chillies
2-3 curry leaves

Grind together,coconut,green chillies,ginger & tamarind to a fine paste. Add curry leaves & salt & grind for 2 mins.
To season, fry mustard seeds,red chilli & curry leaves in 1 tsp of oil & add to the chutney.
Serve with dosa/idli/uthappam
