Gajar Halwa ( Carrot Dessert )


500 gms carrot

1/2 cup milk

1/2 tin sweetened condensed milk

1/4 cup sugar (or as required)

2 tbsp ghee

2 tbsp raisins & chopped cashews

Coarsely grate carrots.

In a pan, heat 1 tbsp ghee & add the grated carrot. Cook on medium heat for 5 mins. Add milk & cover & cook on simmer till the carrot is tender. Add sweetened condensed milk & sugar & cook till it thickens & turn off heat.

Fry raisins & chopped cashews in 1 tsp of ghee. Garnish carrot halwa.

Serve hot/cold.
