Indian stlye - Macaroni & Cheese


1 cup Elbow Macaroni
1 onion finely chopped

1 small tomato finely chopped

1-2 tsp red chilli powder

1/4 cup milk

2-3 cheese singles

a bunch of coriander leaves

salt to taste


Cook 1 cup macaroni with 2 cups water till half cooked & set aside.

In a pan, saute chopped onions till golden brown. Add chilli powder & saute for 2 mins. Then add the chopped tomatoes & cover with lid & cook on simmer for a few mins.

Add the half cooked macaroni, a little water & 1/4 cup milk. When fully cooked,add salt to taste.

When the gravy becomes thick-saucy consistency,turn off heat & garnish with coriander leaves & cheese singles. Allow the cheese to melt & blend well into the macaroni.

Serve hot.
