Chocolate Puff Pastry

This is one of the most delicious & rich chocolate desserts I've ever tasted...a very simple yet yummy dessert. The original recipe calls for puff pastry dough which I didnt have @ hand. So I used canned pillsbury crescent roll dough...which is equally flaky & delicious.

Ingredients
1 can pillsbury crescent rolls
Chocolate candy of ur choice - I used Hershey's mini chocolate bars

For the topping - Chocolate Ganache
1/4 cup cream
1/4 cup semi sweet chocolate chips

Method
Unwrap the crescent rolls & spread them on ur work surface.
Place a couple of chocolate bar pieces. Wrap & seal the edges.

Bake them in a 350F pre-heated oven for 12-15 mins.

Meanwhile, prepare the chocolate ganache - Melt 1/4 cup chocolate chips in a bowl on a double boiler. Add the cream & mix well till the chocolate chips have melted completely. Cool to room temperature.

To serve: Spread some chocolate ganache on the serving plate. Place the baked pastry & drizzle with some more ganache.

Serve warm.

Archana, as I mentioned at the beginning of the recipe, you cld use frozen puff pastry dough. They are usually available in the frozen section of supermarkets.
